Aix, a great place to shop.

For furnishings, my absolute favourites are IV Home for vintage, Cink Season with its designer objects and La Maison de Montigny with its blend of tradition and fantasy.

The most beautiful boutique in Aix is called Gago. Established in 1966 it sells small (but expensive) treasures. This beautiful collection has been chosen by Pierre, with immaculate taste. Amarine and Le Vestiaire are also favourites. Nestled in Rue Granet I am always assured great finds.

My children, Nicholas and Camille, would recommend Friends, WNS (We Never Sleep) and By Colette for teenagers. Urban style halfway between sport and casual-wear.

Between shops I revive myself at Côté Cour under the shade of a canopy and enjoy a menu designed by Ronan Kernen, a candidate for Top Chef in 2011. Otherwise, I opt for the terrace of Chastel, "the place to be" for Corsican flavors.

For a savoury snack I can not resist a stop at the tasty little Pizza Capri. I buy a slice and enjoy it walking the streets of Aix, and then I go back quickly for a second slice!

If you love Bagels, Bagelstory is for you! Imported directly from New York, these bagels are made using the traditional method used by Polish Jews (who invented bagels), without fat or additives. A really soft and tasty bagel!

And for those with a sweet tooth ... an Amorino ice-cream, a treat for the taste buds!

Finally, do not leave Aix without crossing the threshold of the Apple Store! Especially as you no longer need to use a till ... Goodbye wallet and bank card, your phone and ITunes account are all you need! Like me, you'll love the experience!
